Heidi & Tom…#Rock&Roll #Bride&Groom
Heidi came to see me what seems forever ago to discuss wedding plans and I knew straight away that this wedding would be awesome!!! We talked about the colour scheme…bright and vibrant with black and white stripes and the bridesmaid dresses which sounded great!! Heidi wasn’t sure about her dress that was a traditional style dress but was excited and had lots of ideas about every other part of the wedding. Fast forward to a few months before the day and I get a message to say that the fabulous Daisy Dresses was creating a brand new original, one off dress designed with rainbows and unicorns in mind!!!!
I could not wait! We arrived in the morning to find a house full of excitement, loud music from the most awesome retro jukebox, dancing and champagne!! I have to admit this was one of the liveliest bridal preps yet and tons of fun! So what I wanted to know was…..where were the unicorns??!?!?!?! I wasn’t disappointed, the dress was completely untraditional….with netting in all the colours of the rainbow spilling out from underneath and a sparkly unicorn on the waistband! Wow…..the bouquets were a mix of bight, bold and beautiful flowers with the odd pom pom thrown in and the bridesmaid dresses were as cool and quirky as I imagined them to be.
After dragging ourselves away from all the fun, we were off to the church! Lots of emotion, confetti, shiny stars and a visit from Heidi and Toms doggy and then we were off Darwin Lakes. A beautiful venue near Matlock. The room was a complete blank canvas but had been transformed by the wonderful Cathy from Boelle Events into a funky room full of amazing wooden tables with black and wipe striped runners, gold jars holding bright flowers and beautiful vintage candles. There were colourful huge balloons by Dottie & Love Balloons, and a cake table that hosted a glittery sequin cloth along with a fabulous cake and sweetie jars! Brightly coloured ribbons and honeycomb paper balls filled the ceiling and outside in front of the lake were HUGE stripe letters with a glitter gold ‘and’ symbol. Next to these sat a massive oversized black and white striped deckchair!!
What a fantastic job from Boelle Events, one of my favourites was the wooden pallet used as a table to hold champagne and raspberries and every section underneath full of gorgeous flowers! There was also a photo booth section that went down a treat with everyone!! So so much to see at this wedding that is difficult to describe in words so check out just a few of the pics we took on the day!!! 🙂
